Long Creek Red Maple Leaf was taken in Long Creek, New Brunswick in the early 2000s. It was a moody, cloudy day and I took a walk into the woods close to my in-laws' house. This maple leaf was from a fresh maple sprout and seemed to be floating above the forest floor. I used Photoshop to do some "hand coloring" because I've always liked that effect and I think it adds some pop to the photograph.
